UK – Will anything be personal after 2009?

I was reading a national newspaper yesterday and it says the government plans to record and track everything you do on the internet, phone, and basically most things by 2009. Yes I am aware that they can already be done on certain levels, however this is much more of a scale it means they want by 2009 to have access to every single site that you have been on, be able to look at any account you have, will be able to read every email you send and recieve, instant messages even phone calls will be recorded from home and mobile (cell) and be able to track were and when you said it. They may also be placing small microphones around cities so everything is recorded of what people are saying. Even the cameras are going to far, the average person in the UK is caught on 300 cameras a day. How disturbing.

In my opinion this is totally wrong. If you have no criminal record, no convictions and are not a suspect you should not be recorded like this, I agree with most of the cameras as this is generally for safety but some of these things are stupid. If your are an ex-con or under suspicion they yes I think its right but why people who are good hard working citizens that have done nothing wrong. Why should everything be like that?

As for today just been chilling mostly went to Wigan for a bit got a top with smiley faces all over. Pretty wacky but who cares.

Whats with the Manhunt 2 ban? The BBFC have stated that it has nothing to do with the controversy of the previous game as quoted “That had nothing to do with the decision, absolutely not”. Although even if it was, just because some screwed up teenager killed someone after supposedly playing manhunt 1. That kid must of been gone in the head in the first place, I played it didn’t mean I wanted to kill someone. For one how can the Mum complain that the game did it to him? He was under age for the game, so why buy it for him? Even letting him play it is stupid. Anyway back to the subject in hand.
Manhunt 2 is the second only game to be refused a rating by the BBFC. The first game was carmegeddon which had minor adjustments made to it to get release. But the BBFC has stated that even if changes where made to manhunt 2 they doubt it would still be released. They say that its just the whole games atmosphere that does it.

It kind of makes me angry. I’m 18 years of age and want these adult games, why can we can super violent movies but no games? I just don’t think its right. I can see why it was banned but even having warnings on the box would help. If kids play it its bad parenting, just don’t buy it for your kids simple! A right minded adult would not take a video game and turn it into reality only screwballs would do that. Hopefully Rockstar games will appeal against this, but I really doubt where going to see a release sadly.

Reading my Playstation official magazine UK (Issue 009) today and I was shocked to learn that America will be getting a PS3 at just under 300 pound, but Europe? Nope, stuck with the 60gb for around 400 pound. How can Sony justify this? Or maybe its this robbing country of ares? Why the hell do we get everything last? Or more expensive its stupid. Might aswell get it imported, because I bet if it does get here it will be much much later.
